In 2017, I travelled to Bangkok with my editor for the Asia's 50 Best awards ceremony, and spent a crazy few days interviewing acclaimed international chefs for their take on the future of Asian cuisine.

Willard Wigan is my all-time favourite interviewee, hands down. This insanely talented American artist creates miniature sculptures that fit in the eyes of needles, and uses housefly hairs as paintbrushes.

This National Day weekend cover feature discussed the contentious topic of Mod-Sin cuisine. It was also my favourite interview with the late Lee Eng Su — the inspirational chef-owner of The Coconut Club.
